I went for a visit to my local Daddy's Junky Music store. Among the sights were a First Act acoustic (missing 1/2 a rosette), and there it was.........

An Ovation 1117-1 in great condition w/gold label (it did have what looked like a MS fix on the front, but otherwise it was beautiful).

Price was right too (around $300-350). But since I just got the Patriot, I ain't got the money for it. Such is the life of a GAS-oholic!

I was playing the 1537 last night, thinking about how great that Patriot played and sounded. I bet you couldn't tell the difference between it and a really good old Legend or CL.

I've been playing it more than I have the Collectors. I guess I'll have to get out the Collectors and give it some lovin'

Shame that the 1117-1 hasn't gone to a good owner. It's been sitting at Daddy's for a while.
