Location: Brentwood, TN | Sadly, I am in a pinch and need $$$....so I am parting with my treasured Dobro. This baby is a wood-body square-neck 1937 Model 37G. All original with original ssc with purple felt lining. I would rate it in 8.5 to 9 condition for its age (almost 70 years old), its crack-free bod and age-typical wear.
I bought it in 1993 or 94 from some great vintage guys in Des Moines (Last Chance Guitars). They are a great reliable source for me. I dated and branded it via the Mike Cass-researched section of Gruhn's Guitar identification book.
Asking price? I hear angels in this mellow, sweet guitar. I love to pull it out for sessions in Nashville and it is a true veteran of the music we put our roots in around here. I rarely see any old Dobros, much less a squareneck in such good shape. So...I will be asking $2600 or best offer.
Thanks for looking and the best in life to you all. |

Thanks. |
