I was just wondering why no-one is interested in my Viper acoustic bass. Any suggestions?

Chris

specialized product that never got the push that it deserves.

Personally I think they are a fantastic instrument but barely anyone even knows they exist

You are selling into a very limited audience. Somebody who knows what it is, knows how good it is, and really wants one, will pay you good money. It's just a matter of finding the right person. I have been through this trying to sell several of my own guitars. I sold a Hurricane 12-string a few years ago. It was a one of a kind nutmeg finish. It had ONE bid and sold for $550. The guy later told me his maximum bid was $1500. Yikes!

I'd say don't promote it as an acoustic bass because it's really not ... it has to be plugged in, period, unless you are simply practicing for yourself. I agree with aL and I really like mine. It shines when I run it through my Bassman amp. Don't position it as just another Ovation acoustic bass, most people will think of the Celebrity models which really don't do much for most bassists.

Going price for these seem to be in the $600 range, when they come up and when they sell. Which is a great deal for what you get, and way under what they should be worth IMHO.
