Location: Atlanta, GA | Hi, I have one of the very first Ovations ever produced - made in Moosup, CT, at the Kaman factory. I believe it to be amongst the first 100 Ovations ever produced. I would like to sell/auction it. Can someone tell me a good starting value at auction? Will post pictures tomorrow, at anyone's request.
-Serial# 266
-Good Condtion
-Kluson tuners
-Was sold as a factory second (number '2' woodburned on back of neck stock)Cannot detrmine original reason
-One owner - was bought new by Moosup, CT resident in 1967. Can speak with original owner if desired.
So....what's it worth? Any info on this guitar would be appreciated. Thanks,

It's hard to say about something so rare but I would guess (only guess) at about $1000.
Would love to see pics...that would help. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I don't know. I've got 118 and 247. A grand may be a little optimistic but it all depends on condition and how bad someone wants a piece of Ovation history. If it has the 1st generation truss rod cover and the flat extended lip it could be valuable to the right person.
