| I am looking for a new guitar, and I am considering an Ovation. I play mostly for personal enjoyment and relaxation. I occasionally play for small groups of family and friends. I do not need a full-body to produce a lot of volume - so I figure that a shallow-body is good for me.
I want a guitar that has a nice sound and good action. Any suggestions? (I want a single center soundhole).
Does any other company make a shallow-body guitar?
Thanks!

Location: SoCal | Take a look at this guitar. It's wonderful sounding, and has a shallow bowl (not super shallow). There's no reserve on this auction and it should go for $3-400. Maybe.

Location: 6 String Ranch | Actually there probably won't be a MARS in the near future since they've gone seeking Chapter 11. They may not get it however which would mean it's curtains now.
Actually the only guitar that will suit Alina's needs is a SS Ovation and she needs to go to Lost Vintage/Art Instruments and have the helpful proprietor select the perfect instrument. |
