Location: Lebanon, TN | Hey guys. Looking for guidance. I bought an Ebay refugee that took my fancy. It is a Model 1763 Classical that is finished in Black. Kim in parts (it needs a replacement tuner button) told me these were pretty unusual.
Anyone want to give me a steer as to whether this is an original or a refinish that someone has had done privately. Bought it from a west coast pawn shop.
Only downside is there is a bass side bridge squeak when you lean the edge of your palm on the bridge to pick. Probably a brace thats dried out as I can't see any external warping or surface changes on the top. I will check it next time I change strings. It cleaned up nice too although I probably need to "finesse" the finish to get rid of pick scratch marks (YES I AM SERIOUS on a Classical!!)
Any help/guidance would be appreciated.

Location: Phoenix AZ | Stuart, I've got the 1713 in black. Same as yours but non-cutaway (see gallery). I agree, these look really nice. In fact the only reason I bought mine was because of the color. I sold a natural one to make room for it. What electroncis do you have (mine has OP24)? Dave |
