Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | The Optima preamp on my custom legend has been giving me grief lately...and frequently. It creates a distorted sound, and then the sound cuts in and out, then finally out for good. I couldn't even use it at all at rehearsal yesterday...and I've got a show coming up next week.
I thought it was the battery going, though this has never happened before in the 5 years or so that I've owned this guitar. Anyway, have replaced the batter and no change. Any ideas to try before I take it in to be fixed?

Location: Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey | Sorry to hear that your having problems Johnny. My 12 string has now started cutting out on me like the LX did. Ovations are great guitars, but they need to work on the way they wire the guitars. This seems to be a problem area for them. I realize that there is no such thing as a perfect product, but it's disapointing when stupid little things like this keep happening. I should re-phraze that. It's a stupid little thing except when it happens in the middle of a gig like it did to me. :mad: |
