Thanks Vince, but it just doesn't get played like it should. My "gig venues" are way too dangerous for anything other than my Balladeers and banjo.... the Redwood deserves better.

OOOOPS! .. BAckstep ... I just realized it's a shallow bowl. I don't have the justification for a shallow bowl. Sorry.

Ok, so now I've re-thought this.

Until someone offers me the deal/monies I feel is sufficient, I'm going to keep the Redwood, put Flatwound Jazz strings on her, plug her in and pretend.....

..this isn't a firm closure, just awaitin...

.......St. Al, Sr. Miles you can delete this feeble attempt at marketing until....

Tim,

I wasn't trying to derail your efforts! Seriously! You don't know how many times a came back to look at your 2001 since the first day you posted it. I just couldn't quite stretch it because I was trying to get multiple instruments on a fixed budget. In fact,I spent a whole day scheming on Ebay to try and find deals on the guitars you wanted to trade for!

For what it's worth though, the biggest chunk of my budget came from selling my 1999 Collector's on Craig's List. I asked for $1000 and sold it for $950 to a lady in England. Her brother works in the Hudson Valley and he came and paid cash for it two days after I listed it!!!

The point is, I think your price was more than fair for such a well-maintained guitar. If I could have stretched a little further funding-wise, your post wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes after I saw it! ;)

On the other hand, you could be thinking exactly what I was thinking when I listed my ex-1999: "What's the worst that could happen? I get stuck with a fantastic guitar? Dang!" :D

Thanks for making the value of my 99 go up, Patch. The 2001 looks about as good and sounds better.

I understand Patch,

I'm not in any hurry, but it does need to be played.... maybe with flatwounds and my Ricky studio amp, I can pretend about the jazz box until the deal happens.... the Redwood IS available and I'd STILL like to do the "deal".....

Ok, here's the thing: last night I put a set of .11 Stainless Steel Flatwound Jazz strings (from webstrings.com) on the Redwood, I took out one bridge shim, plugged it in and wowiezowie! I gotta VERY COOL JAZZ GUITAR!....so, sorry for all the fuss and please consider this "Forsale/Trade Advertisement" as nothing more than a tempest in a teacup....no archtop needed!...I guess I shoulda listened...
