I had a Pentax 450, (I think) which went belly up, but replaced under warranty with a 550. Both took excellent photos - as good as my SLR. (probably because I didn't have much say in the result  ) It was an excellent backup camera, but unfortunately I dropped the 550 with the lens extended, which wrecked it. A very good salesman talked me out of a Pentax for a Fujifilm. Never been happy with it.

Mine was an FRG ... maybe that's what the problem was. ;) Dweez ... do you have a humidifier? It looks like the dip is mainly in the center where the holes are and that area could be susceptible to showing the results of dry wood more that other places on the top.

Suggested sticking a wet cloth in the guitar for a week to see if the hump reduces. As for the dip said he had never seen that. Sadly the warnentee is with the original owner so to correct it would mean shipping to MS replacing the entire top and shipping back. That is not going to happen!!

Joined: April 2008 Posts: 2336 Location: Brighty in Blighty | An update: Left a wet rag in the body for 10 days didn't seem to make much difference. Then replaced the strings (think they were 12s with 10s) and been playing it extensively (in fact switching solely between the 5868 Walnut and the 07C of late) and today I've noticed that the bridge hump is greatly reduced (down to 'normal') and the epaulet dip less prominent. So I'm a happy camper. :) Now seriously toying with swapping out the VIP for a Op Pro Studio!
