I don't know from geology or geometry - but I know I live in Toronto and all I can hope for is that the UPS man has a compass!!
And hopefully a heater. :D

Interesting comment about the heater. I have a custom guitar that was just recently completed at the factory. Not "the" factory, but another factory in a cold northeastern state, you know the one. Anyway, it's killing me because the guitar has been done for 3 weeks and is just sitting there! They have strict shipping rules where they look at the forecast for the guitars intended route and will not ship until the temperatures are above a certain point. The guitar has to ship from this cold factory up to an even colder shop near a freezing lake and then finally to me (in 70 degree sunshine). I know, some guitars are so brittle that they have to do that kind of stuff and take precautions, blah, blah, blah. And even though it is killing me to know that my guitar is ready and just sitting there, it is somewhat conforting to think that a company actually plans to this degree of detail. Well, it's not exactly like they are doing it for free ...

Dave, I know which one you are talking about and based on everything, couldn't they ship overnight when they see a couple nice days? Seems like a small amount extra to pay in the big picture :D

I tried that. Shipping from the dealer to me overnight is no problem (and already arranged), but shipping from the factory to the dealer is a hastle for reasons I don't understand. But that's the way they do things. After 7 months waiting, a few more days (or weeks) doesn;t really matter all that much. Dave

Dave, I'm not that far away. I can run over, grab it and, well, maybe this isn't a great idea after all.
