Congrats! I owned a FD14 some years ago and it was the best sounding wood-top Ovation I´ve ever played. The neck was not my cup of tea so I decided to sell her with a heavy heart. Viel Spaß!

Thanks guy's for all your wishes!
Indeed, it is a really great sounding guitar, I'm very happy now to own one.
I came home to day lately, but on this weekend I'll take some pics of it and post them on my ning-page, OK?

Hey BigJ,
please let us know when it has arrived. May be I'm looking for one as my new work-horse.
I think the FD-14 is not made to be a work-horse.
But I must tell you: As it arrived, I tuned it up and played it for a while, it really sounded great.
Today I picked it up and played it and I was really blown away. The day of acclimating here was like a wonder, it was sounding.... therefore I have no words. That is another world.

Bernie,

I will post pictures as soon as I get it. It's due sometime late July to middle of August.

It's not really "custom" per say as I'm only having the color changed and a couple other little things done.

They are only available in natural and I wanted it with a tobacco burst so I put in a custom order for tobacco burst. I also asked that since it was going through the "custom shop" to make sure the action was low and all the frets leveled,(If needed) ebony turner buttons etc...nothing major though.

I can't wait to get it and I will be sure to post pics when I do.

Congrats again on your new axe...

That was one of the "couple other little things" I was going to have done as well.

I've got a bone saddle and nut on my Guild (Came with it) and I think it makes a huge difference.
