Jim, if you send him the Tim Tams at the first attempt, you'll save face for the nation, but make me look real bad.

Yeah, I'm weak. :( I succumbed to temptation - twice.

But then again... If YOU'RE gonna send him some instead, then I can eat these ones as well. :D

I thinks it's amazing for his age, but he's not really playing it that well, or even correctly, but it's still pretty cool.

Now, if he played like this, I'd be impressed..

Too bad I can't find the full version. :(

I must admit that as much as I despise HEARING Stairway, Smoke on the Water, and Free Bird, I will PLAY THEM at the drop of a hat, cause... well.. they are just fun to play.

There's probably some others, but these three have just the right balance of easy enough to play where even after not playing them for years, you can muddle through and have fun, and just enough of a challenge to make you work for it.

What these tunes and some other have also is that although if you have "the sound" they really come across great, even with your own "sound" they are still fine.

An opposite example is Revolution by the Beatles. Actually a fun song to play, but a few years ago when STP did it for the Lennon tribute, even Dean DeLeo was smart enough to get a line of Vox amps out for that "sound."

OH MY! Someone has finally put in to words my joy in learning and playing such songs! (Please note I said learn, not master...) ;)

The more I learn the more I understand that music isn't a mystery but yet I'm also humbled by my lack of talent and knowledge. Which all leads to my deep appreciation for those that sit on the porch and can express their emotions through their fingers, a wood box and some wire stolen from a window screen (ala Chet A).

This song is just another step on the stairw... ummm nevermind...
