Where might one go to find some events going on around the town without knowing anyone there?

Imperial Chair at Breckenridge - stay there all day.

My favorite bar in Breck is The Dredge - kind of a dive but that's what I like about it.

Go to Vail for the day and go DIRECTLY to Blue Sky Basin (trust me on this)

Get there early and then get out of there early before you get stuck - it's ALWAYS snowing and the drive SUCKS.

I'm jealous.

I also have a Legend.

Snow report in today's Denver Post: Breckenridge...21" fresh powder, most in the state.
