If you're talking about the dreaded FAFSA forms, I thought they (finally) changed the rules and now require the previous year's tax info. (2016 taxes for the January 2018 FAFSA forms), (but I could be wrong.)

Location: Houston, TX | standing...you are correct. 2016 taxes for 2018 FAFSA. Just did it. It's laughable how out of touch DC is with the real world. I made decent money in 2016, but the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) for 2018-2019 school year according to the FAFSA is 47k. I'm expected to be responsible for up to 4k a month. Gimme a break... |
