Those little ZOOM units are pretty good.

I feed my CA60 through my CA250 and get a lot of punch, clear tone, and plenty of options. I can plug in three mics, three guitars and an aux channel. I have designated and preset channels specifically for my 12 string, 6 acoustic, 6 electric, voice, and one for my flutes (native american).

love the system!

Another good amp to consider (especially used) is a Peavey KB60 or KB100; they are keyboard amps, but really they're PA systems in a box (cabinet). I have an old KB100 which is 75 watts and has a 15" speaker and a tweeter, three channels (#1 has an XLR as well as a 1/4" jack) and four bands of eq adustment (adjusts all channels at the same time, though). Works great for acoustic guitars; I've used it for bass as well (obviously not in a real loud context with bass). These are usually pretty reasonable used, and they're bombproof.

What's the street price of a Shen 100 over there? Now they've got a UK distributor maybe I'll finally get to see one, and I'm in the market.

Sounds like I may be the only one here using a SUNN Studio Lead! In fact, I may be the only one old enough to have ever even seen one!

Yes, it is an SA-100.

and AN4340

The ZOOM really sounds good through the amp's stereo input as it has stereo output.

I see them on eBay new for about $600-$650 new and maybe $400 used. I have a Shen 85 (predecessor to the 100) which I love. Here's one on ebay right now.

Robbie - thanks. That is a long way below the American price list - I bet they won't come that cheap over here. :(
