If Ovation came out with a 1689-8 slothead reissue (Blue wideneck A/E), they would probably sell quite a few of them. Very few people who own the 1187 #47 reissue would buy a 1687 slothead reissue if the only difference between the two was the color and the electronics. But if there was a 1689-8 slothead reissue I could see quite a few #47 owners being interested in it due to the wide neck.
