A little incentive for the work to be done right(but that doesn't sound like a problem anyway). This is the route I'm leaning heavily towards. Thanks for the input all. I needed some outside opinions. |

I don't see any indication that he's trying to rip you off, as some people seem to think. $1000 probably isn't bad for the work and he made you an offer before you spent the money. He's not offering to trade you $1000 worth of guitars. It looks like much more than that, so it boils down to do you want to spend the money on the guitar you have or trade it before you spend the money on several new guitars. It sounds like it will depend upon how much you really like the Mosrite vs. how much you like the new ones. Nobody can tell you what you should like. The comfort you should get out of this is that the Mosrite is obviously worth much more than just sentimental value. |

Location: Jet City | Yeah. Those new guitars will be there next year, and the years after for that matter, and I'm sure the offer will stand.
My thought process was basically this...
6 new guitars?!?! Cool! then the excitement faded away, then I got excited about countering with the addition of a batwing guitar, then that excitement faded away, then I fantasized about that Alex Lifeson ES-335, not that he would have thrown in that thing, but just a fantasy, and EVEN THAT excitement faded away.
That plus all the KEEP IT replies has pretty much made up my mind.
So I think I need to keep it for a while, and finally see what the thing's like plugged in. |

If there are only 2 people qualified, and one of them is down here, I'd like to know who he is. :) |
