I don't think Paul T. stresses about much except maybe British royalty. He's way too busy making damn fine music to stress.

MoodyPI, thank you, I'm humbled.

Maybe the Royals are the answer, I could lobby Parliament to force Liz & her minions to subsidise the guitar industry, it's our money in the first place. Oh no!!!! I feel a rant coming on..........

Paul, i bet i could tell the difference between a non cut and a cutaway everytime in a blindfolt test. All i would have to do is reach down and feel for the cutaway with my hand while testing it. ;) :D Sorry, i just had to do that!

I'd venture to guess that every person posting here could tell the difference in a blindfold test between a deep bowl non-cutaway and a mid depth cutaway. That, I believe, is why the Q wasn't released. They decided to reconfigure it in a mid depth cutaway version instead of the original deep non-cutaway and it took considerable engineering work to match the sound characateristics. For the record, Al DiMeola's model is a deep cutaway.

The Q wasn't released because the necks kept warping on their own and needed a better way to keep them straight. It would have been a big warentee problem and THAT wouldn't pass the billfold test.
