Just learned there are variations on op24 preamp. But if plugged in twice a week for about an hour, how many problem-free years can I expect? My climate is not overly dry or humid and I won't be whacking my axe against a tree or anything... Same question applies to ALL older ovation electronics.

you never know with electronics but generally and theoretically they can last forever. I have seen very few dead preamps.

They usually only die from abuse, like a hard life on the road etc.
