Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba CANADA | My experience is that the black cases tend to be a bit better constructed, especially the interlocking metal lips that go around the case.
The earlier brown ones (with the larger overlapping latches...) tend to work better than the later ones and I have found the fit on the brown ones a bit sloppy occasionally... sometimes too loose, sometimes too tight.
Obviously, from a collector's point of view, you want the case the guitar was sold with, but if it's strictly a 'player', I would go with the black ones. |
