| i just wanted if anybody could give me an esitmate on how much my guitar is worth....it was my moms and is in perfect condition and never had restorations....its model #1111-4 serial k454 she had to get it in late sixtys early 70's any help would be great thanks

Location: Upper Left USA | My work server has blocked photo-bucket among other places so I can't see the pics - but I still have an opinion!!!
If it has the original ribbon type of sound hole it is worth the most. Then, as you move closer to the "standardized features" like the inlaid ring, different bridges, tuner changes, etc. you will lose some resale or "unique" value to the market.
For example, my 1112-1 - they are plentiful and will go for about $300 on Ebay on a good day. Very little motivation to sell.
Since the instrument has one of the early numbers and is in excellant condition it should be worth twice the standard. But like it says in the openg page - Ovations get little respect. |
