When I was -younger- I played the bass in my first band. Later I turned to the guitar.
When I was starting to play and collect Ovation guitars I thought it would be wise to have a bass, too, so that I could play it every now and then. But I have a more "classical" right hand technique and bass playing is going to ruin my fingernails...and I am FAR not as good a basser as I thought...
so maybe here in this forum might be a bass player who would like to be the new owner of this oustanding instrument.
It really plays like a dream and can snarl like a double bass if you want.
The bass is flawless except for an old finish crack exact above one of the middle brace, which is tight and stable.
