John Budny would be the first option. However, his inventory may be limited as the warranty does not include the electronics.

If John Budny can't help, there may be other sources:

Some OFC'ers have extra NEW pre-amps (possibly also pre-amps such as the OP-Pro,etc.) As it appears that the pre-amp for the reissues is an upgrade from the earlier pre-amps, someone might have a working older pre-amp that was replaced that is just sitting in a drawer.

However do not expect bottom feeding offers accepted. Most likely, if an OFC'er has any extras, it was based on a possibility that he or she would need it in the future when they would be in the same situation that you are in.

Personally, I made sure that I have replacement pre-amps for my Adamas and 1537, also other pre-amps for my earlier Ovations such as the CL 1658 and 1659. Prior to the reissues, I was advised by several respected sources at the factory that replacement pre-amps for early Adamas that I was buying would not be available and that the pre-amp could not be repaired if it failed.

Very possible that the pre-amp may be available through eBay sellers.

You know, an easier alternative is to take your guitar to good electric guitar tech and let him go thru and clean the pots and jacks. That kind of stuff happens all the time with electric guitars and it's not a difficult fix.

Call Al. I bought a new 1537 stereo preamp and saddle from him just before the factory closed. Alpep at lostartvintage dot com. Or call John Budny at the factory.

The new preamp is a slightly different physical configuration for the battery. The new battery holder is a separate unit which attaches to the bowl with a screw. The old battery holder attached to the body of the preamp. So you'll have to carefully drill a small hole in the bowl to mount the new batter holder.
