Hi All,

I have just received delivery of a 2005 1778t elite with ohsc and op 40 pre amp.

All appears very much O.K. - neck is good, hardly any fret wear and only a couple of minor dings. I am happy for what I paid for it but................ it is dirty!

I'll have no problem cleaning up the neck but how do I clean, and with what, the guitars matte black surface?

The dirt only appears to be superficial but I don't want to wreck it by doing something stupid.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Cheers................ James.

Damp Rag... Warm Water... Maybe a touch of dish soap if it is really dirty.
(Yeah, go into the kitchen... Grab the damp dish cloth )

Don't go scrubbing too hard... That textured finish is pretty resilient but NOT bulletproof.
(The reason that the "Painted T" got painted was because of pick dents in the finish)

Then post before and after photos.

You MAY have to use a SOFT brush to get the dirt out of the "indentations", but as OMA said, be careful. A REALLY soft brush and VERY light pressure.
