The tuner function on my OP Pro is not working. I put a new battery in so I know this is not the problem. In the LED screen the letter "r" appears when I strike a string in tuner mode? Does anyone know what this means? Thanks in advance

I was waiting for someone with more knowledge to answer your question... but that ain't happenin'.

I just messed with my OP-Pro and I cannot re-create your problem.
The only thing that I can think of is that the polarity of you battery is reversed... hence the "r".
I don't know how that could happen and I couldn't bring myself to intentionally do it to my preamp just to find-out.

So... I don't know if that helps.

Maybe you could contact Ovation customer service HERE

Meanwhile... Stick Around, someone will be along to update your account eventually.

Thanks for your response. The battery is in correctly, however, I did the the battery out and let it sit for a few minutes. That seemed to work at least for E, A, G and then it went back to "r". I emailed Ovation CS, they said if the pre amp worked through an amp, it does, that the tuner is bad and I need to get a new unit . Guess I'll just tune externally. That's again.
