Anyone else notice that eBay changed it's "Categories" database structure? Used to be that under Musical Instruments/Guitars/Acoustic or Musical Instruments/Guitars/Acoustic Electric there were sub-categories for /Martin, /Taylor, /Ovation, etc. Now the structure only goes as far as /Acoustic or /Acoustic Electric. That pretty much f@cks all my saved searches since I can't search in a sub-category for a particular manufacturer and include filtering keywords (e.g. including -hohner to eliminate all those annoying listings in the Ovation category). Have to re-structure all my searches now

Good for those big sellers that throw up tons of listings for cheap gits, but bad for the little guys just trying to sell a particular model to a niche group like us.

Its getting worse and worse g8r; its become corporate minded like everything else...it needs some competition to put it in its place...

Time will tell, but I like this change. I think its better for the "niche" stores like us as it's puts our wares in front of an audience that may not see it if they were searching a specific brand.

And.. the other side of the coin is, that they didn't have every make listed, so few people really drilled down to brand specific searches anyway.

But as with anything... time will tell.
