Hey all I've developed a nasty buzzing or vibrating "sound" inside my 1767 when I "pluck" or strum the low E and lessens on the A and D strings. Obviously it is the "Bass" that is causing the "vibration". I am pretty sure it is the wires inside the bowl. For those of you that have a 1767 you know there is no back entry hole/cover that can be removed so as to get you hand/hands (through top and bottom) to work on the problems. Everything is a 1 handed Job. Any suggestions on 1, what to best use to stop the buzzing sound and 2, how to do it one handed. String have allready been removed. Thanks!!!

Just reach in there with a piece of tape and tape the wires to the bowl.
Later, you can find one of those plastic, stick-on, wire holders and do it right...

They come in assorted sizes, and with one hand you can stick it to the bowl.
Then put the wires in there and ratchet it shut.
There should be something like that in there already. But it might have come loose.
I might be attached to the wires or the inside of the bowl.

But while you are in there feeling around, make sure all the braces are tight.
Tap on the top and make sure that doesn't produce a buzz.
Just to satisfy yourself that it is the wires.

Ok, Thanks OMA. I reached deep inside the bowl and found that the "wire holder" had opened up so I put what wires I could back in and "snapped" it shut again. I had my arm in almost to the elbow it was so deep inside. Anyways, I also had noticed that there were NO shims and as I liked the low action I never really checked so I added the thinest one I had and once I restrung the guitar it seems to have gotten rid of 95% of the buzz. I'm thinking that since the guitar is 19 years old the foam under the battery holder may be dissinagrating a bit and the metal Battery "holder" may be touching the bowl ever so slightly and what little buzz I hear appears to be comming from that area, NOT enough though to take the string off again and fix it now. Next time I restring I'll do it.
Thanks again!!!
