Location: Germany | Hello,
today my new iDea PreAmp arrived.
Now I'm wondering what the wire connecting the PreAmp and receptacle is good for.
It ends in this little spring at the bottom of the receptacle:
As I want to use the iDea in more than one of my guitars, I don't want to change the receptacle all the time. The VIP-5 in my Collectors 2006 doesn't have such a wire, but the OP-Pro in my 6868-AX does.
So I'm wondering if I may cut it.
Can you help, please?
Many thanks in advance and warmest regards,
Juergen |

Location: Germany | Hi Mark,
many thanks for your quick response!
I was afraid to damage the new PreAmp and off course loose the warranty if this cable had a function. As I bought it new without a guitar I didn't expect an "anti-stealing" cable.
Due to your help I can now start playing with the iDea.
Thanks again! |
