Location: Sydney, Australia | I started noticing a buzz when I played a C# on the A string. At first I thought it was something resonating outside the guitar, but then I realised it was coming from within. I took the manhole cover off but couldn't find the source. Then I took the battery compartment out and it disappeared. I put the battery compartment back in and it seems fixed.
The preamp is an Optima which has a separate battery compartment. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm hoping it doesn't reappear, but am thinking of putting a piece of cardboard under the battery, using the theory that the springs which push on the terminals are the source of the vibration. |
