How did the neck profile on my custom legend come to be as perfect as it is? I've played a lot of guitars and never found anything like it - was it based on an existing guitar or was it just a moment of pure genius? No matter which of my axes I played I was starting to get cramp after an increasingly short while and I was getting real worried. Then I got the O - I knew I loved the neck from the tryout but I had no way of knowing just what a life changer it would turn out to be. Does everybody feel this way?

Only one O - 2002 Custom Legend, black, shallow bowl. I found it through GMall at a store in NJ. a long and nervous wait but everything was fine. It arrived last November. It was brand new but came from bankrupt stock the guy had bought in from another store. Sometimes you just gotta take a chance. The picture of it is still on GMall - the store was Axe-zactly. Joe was a real nice guy to do business with.
Also got a Faith jumbo - solid spruce on solid mahogany back and sides, ebony board, satin finish. Had a luthier fit a bone nut and saddle and do a little fretwork and it's got a really nice action and tone. Just too big!
My working axe is a much modified Epi archtop - I have yo confess to being a jazzman - but I'm going to get a new amp and use the O. I've played it through a 2000watt PA (not full volume but louder than any sane person would use) on several occasions with a fusiony kind of band (horrible) and no feedback, cut through the mix a treat. I play with my fingers so I was turned up pretty loud to be heard and I never reached for the notch filter once. Soooooooooo impressive. And as I mentioned, I'm already in love. I'm going to ditch the 2 non-Os and get another O. I just have this feeling that I am meant to own a Longneck...........
