Location: Boise, Idaho | I will try to remember to fit a couple of my contour bowls in my CF case. I don't have any with the suspension ring and don't put them in their cases very often, but I don't remember having a problem fitting them into the regular cases for deep bowls. I have an old brown case that seems too small for my Matrix. I think it's because the case is sprung so the guitar just doesn't sit down all the way into the case. It has other evidence of abuse that the carbon fiber case wouldn't have.
Those carbon fiber cases were spec'ed by Al and built when there was a shortage of carbon fiber, so they didn't get made by the time the OFC guitars were made. He had to ship the guitars in regular cases and the carbon fiber cases later. I'm sure he took a hit on that deal. I doubt the cases could be built for anything reasonable anymore. |
