I'm making a donation to the OFC as well. Without you folks, I doubt I would have known that the FD14 even existed! It's the perfect guitar for me. I told me wife that if we ever had the money to have a custom built it would have had the FD14's specs. Now that's unnecessary. 
That said, I'd love to know what prompted Ovation to do that limited run. Can anyone shed some light on that?
