I'd guess a prewar D-28 bone would be 100,000ish. Mine would have to be 34-39 when they had the wide necks. That '43 is a bit high, probably 75ish is more realistic but it's hard to get a fix on what they are going for. There just aren't many out there, they all get gone so quickly and quietly. The 56 gold top is more like 30-40, last I knew, but that was back when gas was only $2.50.

Wayne Henderson has a near mint '38 D-28 Bone Sunburst...Nicest I've seen. He has the finest pre and post war Martin collection I have ever seen...

I'll settle for my '48 D-28:
