I just relieved some GAS today on a guitar that I just had to have for the last year and could not pull the trigger on until this afternoon.
Sorry it is not an Ovation but I have to brag to someone about it.
It is a natural finish Made in Mexico Fender Thinline 1972 Re-Issue Telecaster.
What fantastic playing action and great sound from the two Humbucking Pickups. It is already 4 hours old and everything still works on it .
I am going to have a GREAT WEEKEND and I hope that all of you do the same.Sorry don't know how to post pictures here.
SLIPKID,, Paul Huber is smiling again tonight. GWB

Good for you GWB.
E-mail me the pic and I'll process it for you.

Yes...Paul likes to make a sale and he sure has a lot of eye candy to choose from.

FABULOUS guitar, GWB. I've lusted after a few of those. I was just looking at one at Guitar Center in Allen Park yesterday evening....if I wasn't so fond of Strats, I'd get one.

I've had a couple of those over the years, and really liked them once I got them set up. The pickups aren't as good or distinctive as the original Seth Lover design BUT they are good enough. It's a versatile guitar that covers a lot of styles, and is also light and very comfortable to play. Good choice, imho.

Enjoy it! They are fun guitars. I'd still rather make mine from Warmoth parts though.

Hey Roger I got a strat last year and they are the cats ass, but for me I do have to say that I like the playability of the telecaster much more .The strat does have a wider range of sound plugged in .
I cant wait in about 45 minutes , Moma leaves to get her hair done and I go into the basement and turn on my Hot Rod Deville let the tubes warm up and hold onto your hats neighbors , that Wannabee guitar guy is getting crazy again.GWB

Be nice to ol' Keith.
My Mom sez that he is the only one of the Stones that still looks good.
Of course, he looked like he was dead 40 years ago, and he hasn't changed a bit.
Maybe he was dead 40 years ago, which is why he hasn't changed a bit.

Nice Guitar tho'

I only hope that we can all make it to his age and still be rockin & rolling. Hell I am still having a hard time selling out an audience of one and thats my pet bird , and he is locked in a cage and cant escape my playing.
GO KEITH !!! GWB.

The one famous as 'Keef's' guitar is the 72 Tele Custom, which isn't a semi-hollow. Same pickups, but wired like a Les Paul, not a Tele.

BTW, I like the accessories shown by the guitar in the picture above.

Whenever I play, my wife and kids say, "Can you turn that down, please?!" And that's when I'm playing the Ovation. Unplugged.

Nice looking guitar, GWB!

Well I gotta TEL-E you guys & gals that after 40 hours of having this TELECASTER , the wife is onto me when I TEL-E her that Im going into the other room so I can use the TEL-E .

She seems to think that I have really lost my mind over another guitar.

I just have to TEL-E her thats not true.

Would any of my other club memebers TEL-E her that I will be OK soon after the GAS wears off?

Someone suggested running naked in deep snow and starting myself on fire , but I have neighbors and they would TEL-E everybody including the COPS.

Where I live if I tried a stunt like that ,
the TEL-E vision stations would be all over this story.

I personally think that I need someone to TEL-E me where I can find a good guitar Therapist. GWB.

Nope. I've turned down some very nice offers for it. But it ain't likely to me leaving my house anytime soon. Dave

I bought a blonde ash '52 RI a year ago and switched to the more modern electronics configuration that came with it. Love the sound and looks, but prefer a thinner neck.
