Why wait for mid-life (and where is that exactly...)? I've had a continuous "life crisis" for years...

When you're really old, like 50 something :D . I'll be 45 next month. After 45, I think I'll stop counting. :D

SWMBO, says that, the guitar "thingy", beats the hell out me having an affair.

I remind her of this when I have GAS!

I also have an old sports car in the garage, waiting thousands of dollars for a makeover. (No Mark, it's not a Porsche, but I wish it was.)

Yes, I turn 50 this year, how appropriate.

I turn 50 this month!! I've found the "better buying guitars than other manifestations of mid life crisis" line to be a very effective SWMBO calming device.

She said the same thing about Porsches, but not about guitars. I think she likes riding in Porsches, but doesn't play guitar.

Ummmm, when my obit is published, just divide my age by two. But I'm pretty sure I've passed my mid-life point; just couldn't afford my new addiction at that time!

Turning 50? You guys are just kids.

Actually, if you're not suffering from gas, then playing the guitar is cheaper than a lot of things, ie, motorcycles, old sports cars, new sports cars, golf, girl friends, etc....

SWMBO hates the '83 ZX. Says that the "bumps" are to hard and complains that the A/C doesn't work, and that the T tops leak, the seats are uncomfortable and that it has a "musty" smell.

I say that it is just about RIGHT! ;)

I am encouraged by this 'Mid-Life' idea...

So if I have a Mid-Life Crisis at 50, that means I got another 50 years to go!

That is encouraging!

OMA - just a thought but you may want to consider quality vs quantity. Those second 50 may not be all the first 50 were...

I'll get them as soon as I can. I'm having trouble with getting the card reader to work.
