These have been around for several years. A couple of years ago they introduced a non-travel size. Then at NAMM 2010 the brought out a carbon-fibre uke. I have never been impressed by the guitars, but the uke was spectacular

The guitars weren't all that great but besides the uke I did really like the nylon.

Yeah... They are carbon-fiber.
But they are the Ugliest excuse for a guitar that I have seen.

And it is not that much smaller than I regular guitar, so what's the point?
There are Many nice travel guitars that cost a lot less than that, and look a lot better.
My Adamas cost less, Why would I get something that ugly for that kinda money?
And it don't even plug-in!

But they double as a paddle.

I'll take the girl...

Come to think of it, I'd take the guitar too...I think the durability would be a selling point. Leave it in the trunk overnight? In heat, cold, rain or shine? That's a GOOD thing. Desipte their durability, I'd NEVER do that to ANY of my Adamases.

The YouTube demos seem to show that it has a surprisingly nice sound too.

Beal's right: you could use it as a paddle too!

Not sure all that adds up to $1,600 worth of selling points, but selling points they are, none the less.

Then, of course, there's the girl. It DOES come with the girl, right?

And the canoe?

Even the headstock is ugly. You have futuristic looking guitar with a headstock that looks like it's from a 1910 Gibson

For $1600 I could trash 3 or 4 nice ovations by leaving them in the trunk, in the rain, or loaning them to somebody who lives in Florida and they would be a longer paddle...and they would make a nice salad bowl when all is said and done.

Lol! So true!

But, with this thing you could have all that and KEEP your 3 or 4 nice Ovations as well!

'Course, you'd have to buy a salad bowl...

They must have been advertising it's usefulness as a canoe paddle.
Otherwise, showing a girl in a canoe in a sweatshirt and pants is just lousy advertising. Must be made in Minnesota or Canada.

Well, I listened to the youtubes and I thought it sounded pretty thin.

Plus, I hate the headstock. Why does it look like the truss rod cover is missing?

dark bar asks:

It doesn't have a TRC.
It also doesn't have an adjustable Truss Rod.
The neck is a Hollow Tube and that thing on the headstock is a Hole.
Supposedly it transfers sound up towards your ear.
(Or at least that is what Blackbird said in an ad from a year or two ago)

San Francisco. The paddles will be real handy if the big quake that is predicted for sometime the next week actually hits.

Yes, but what a girl! Pretty, outdoorsy (the canoe), and plays guitar! Well on her way to being the whole package!

The price is the only put off on this for me. I like the design. I think it's cool, and while nearly full size, a little easier to stow. But, for that price.. could get several travel guitars.

For that price, you could get a guitar that sounds a lot better. Like Paul and Stephen, I was impressed by the uke and the nylon. The other models had no character.

At half the price and only slightly larger the CA Cargo blows the BB out of the water, so to speak... no comparison. Cargo's tone and volume are nearly indistinguishable from a full size guitar.
