Maybe an OFC member will win the ebay auction and then sell it to you.

Geneo, I'm man enough to respond here and not have to hide behind some vulger, hateful PM.

Maybe I misunderstood, but from your post it sounded like you want to buy a sunburst 1614 but would rather buy from an OFC member and not from ebay. So I suggested that perhaps an OFC member could help you out by buying the one on ebay and then selling it to you. We are a brotherhood here on the OFC and we have a long history of doing favors like this for each other. It's one of the things that makes this such a special place. I apologize if I was not clear. If you don't think this is a helpful solution, that's OK.

Dave

PS - If anyone would like a copy of the PM, just drop me an email and I'll be happy to share it with you.

Hey Geneo, I saw the email. I think you need to know people here a bit longer and better before you start using pet names. Toby may be a putz, but even being a putz, he's a much much much better man than you......

Really dave well it like this i dont talk like that often unless provoked. and you have been very cold and contrary to me since ive become a member. i know you read on the other post where i was already bidding on the one on ebay. i simply started this post because i would rather purchase one from a trusted OFC member and not a stranger on ebay. The comment you made on this post simply was taken like maybe someone will purchase it on ebay and sell it to you for a profit... thats how i took it. i apologize if i took it wrong ...but if ya think about why wouldnt i think that way after all the negative comments you have made towards me in the past. think about it.

Geneo, look I can't read your mind and I know you can't read mine. I personally have bought guitars on ebay or craigs list for people who could not, or would not do the deal themselves. Some didn't have paypal, some lived overseas, etc. That's what I do. Dispite your filthy message to me, I will offer right here in public to do the same for you. If you want that one on ebay just say the word and I'll win it for you. Then I'll sell it to you for exactly zero profit. That's the kind of person I am. If you think I have been cold and contray to you, then you don't know me (which of course you don't) or you've brought it upon yourself. YOUR response to someone who was offering a suggestion, and is now offering to personally help, was completely uncalled for.

dave i told already that i was sorry for this misunderstanding, and i appreciate you offering to help, however as i already said in the other post that i know you read that i already had bid on the 1614 on ebay. I have over 600 pieces of feedback at 100% on ebay. i have purchased already 2 guitars from OFC members and both were just wonderful gentleman. They both made me feel like a part of their family, i wish i could say that about all OFC members... but thats life. your right you dont me and i dont you... but ill tell you this much i am a very considerate and loyal individual and would go way out of my way to help anyone or to just put a smile on someone face.

Ummmm, I recall Al and Miles asking us to take our 'personal grievances' to emails/PMs.

Plus, I was told that along with my first 'vacation'...

OK, shake hands and come out strummin'!

Hi everyone...I'm back...busy weekend and all...

Geneo, You are wrong...completely...

Dave and Moody are two of the best fella's on the board...I didn't read the email; I didn't need to...I know Dave well enough to know without a shadow of a doubt that he tells the truth...so does Paul....

This board is about guitars, information, history of Ovation/Adamas and very often doing a really nice thing for someone...

Other than that, it's really nice to be back...

Paranoid much? And however you responded, it's all Dave's fault anyway, right? Please quote me a SINGLE time that Dave (or anyone here) made a negative or disparaging comment about you before this thread.

I haven't seen the email, but I trust Paul's interpretation without question. Considerate wouldn't begin to describe you. Seems to me you only admire loyalty in yourself, since someone else's loyalty to one other than you is met with scorn.

Frankly, you're not fit to wipe either Paul's or Dave's ass.

This thread is done... and for the record.. yes disagreements should be taken off the forums.

Of course neither Al nor I can do anything about things we don't know about. Any number of people could have used the little "Report Post" button at any time... but instead ya'll bicker for 5 hours online.

As a great man once said... "If you are not part of the solution, you ARE part of the problem."
