They were stumped as I am. This guitar's SN is 541458 of I know the year but can't find anything else. I have pictures but I don't see any way to post them here. Email me and I'll send them along. It's not a cutout. It's a 6 string deep bowl, black around the edges starburst. 20 frets, I think. Can anyone help me find out more????? Thanks, BJ

Then just post links to them here. There's a bunch of people here with nothing to do but identify guitars. Apparently we are the official Factory Information Resource (FIR) now! :D

I've seen Balladeers with 5's (the 1111 hanging on my wall for example), and some with 1 piece. My early 90's 1869 had the 5 piece as well. Maybe it's the more recent standard Balladeers that don't have the 5 piece neck?

The top of the neck doesn't have the traditional Ovation curve life every picture of an O that I could find online. It's got a little groove in the top. Thanks again. Barb

The bridge resembles that of an Ultra 1312 or Celebrity CC01 or CC11. But, the rosette doesn't look like anything by Ovation (to my limited knowledge/resources). And the top is definetely not a stock finish. Sorry, but my guess would be a look-a-like with an Ovation decal on the head. Then again, I could be wrong!

I had an Applause 12 string with a headstock just like that and bought my daughter an Applause 3/4 size with the same headstock. I still think AJ had it. It's an Applause, but somebody put an Ovation decal on. Either that or Ovation made a few Celebs with the Applause headstock.
