And following him to the restaurant he drove just like all the other New Yorkers do in Connecticut, slowly and down the middle of the road, like they're the only ones who count. Didn't even offer to pick up our check. Probably plays a Taylor. Maybe was a stunt double, standing in for lunch.

I did get to meet the famous father, but I couldn't really tell if I was meeting the "public personna" or not. As for Mr. Baldwin, I don't suppose he'd be any more impressed with me than I am with him. ;) --Karen

They'll probably never be remembered for anything except for being his band but let's face it - if you have a decent voice and can afford to surround yourself with very good musician's, you should be able to pull something off. It's just something to keep his name out there while his big screen career tanks.I HEAR THAT COSTNER CAN HOLD HIS OWN AND HAS A DECENT VOICE... BEATS ME?

He should have been on his knees begging for YOUR autograph. Without the Kaman family there wouldn't be the legacy of the Ovation guitar, and they will far outlast any of baldwin's cheezy movies. I have more respect for alec's brother than for him. I know ... everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but that's mine.

He owned a casino up in Deadwood which I believe went broke, but I'm not quite sure what the story is. (Didn't pay much attention.) I guess his band plays around the Hills a lot too, but once again, I haven't paid much attention. He's never been into my shop, but if he ever did show up here, I probably wouldn't recognize him. (I mean I REALLY don't pay much attention!)

I wish they'd just do their thing and shut up. Remember the times of "hero worship" back in the teen years? Lennon, Page, Townshend, could do no wrong. Now with what I've read and learned about some of these guys I don't think I'd even want to have a quick lunch with them. I have a Red Wings and Tigers jersey but there is no name or number on the back. I have not had a "favorite" ball player since I was ten and I really did not want one. That is until the last few seasons. Third baseman B. Inge has great defensive skills but hits near the bottom of the line-up. By no means a "star". He donated enough to do some major renovations at the childrens hospital but did not want his name on the wall when it was offered. He visits sick kids often and trys to fill personal requests for home runs. Story HERE . I don't beleive any entertainer should be a role model for kids of any age but this guy sets a great example for other players. Do some good things, shut up, and play hard. I just might enjoy a lunch with him... but I'm still not gonna put his name on my jersey.

When Miguel was here in the States visiting, he brought me a beautiful statue of a guy playing guitar. I was wondering what kind of wood it is made of. Well, here's my answer. I'll get over to the ning site and post some pics when I get a chance. And thanks again Miguel!
