LOOK HERE

She's had a new fret job but looks great. WOW!

I'd love to own this, but the GAS fund is empty, so ... at least maybe someone here can have a go at it. Good luck everyone!

I wonder if there is a club member close by that would be willing to help out on this one?

Hi Kurt! I noticed that also, but he DID mention the picture was not his actual guitar. The ad also says to be sure and purchase with cash. It is apparently a local sale ad like the ones on Craigslist.

Vince, yes, I read it. No problem with me.

I only wanted to make this clear because of this:

those elite sunbursts were some of the nicest ever done.
That said, I think I like the naturals from that time period better now because they have aged so much.

Yeah ... I'd like one of those also :(

'Looks like I'm gonna' have to start figuring out which assault rifle I'm going to have to give up to finance the next purchase.

If his is as beautiful as the one on the picture - go for it! Anybody!

Best regards,

If you've got any 'battle' rifles (.308/7.62) on the block let me know - not into those .22 caliber 'assault' versions. I've already got a good squirrel gun... :D

Michael, I'm surprised at you. That was a very cruel and insensitive thing to say.
You are well aware that you can't have too many guitars... that's just a stereotypical slur engendered and propagated by banjo and accordion players.

My bad, it being the weekend I didn't mean to be cruel AND insensitive... we save that for Monday, don't we?

You know the rules... cruel is Monday, uncaring is Tuesday, bitingly sarcastic is Wednesday, snarky is Thursday, insensitive is Friday. Weekends are BeMeanHoweverYouChoose days.

...

I have made contact with the seller, trying to figure out how to work the transaction. I am suggesting he have a music store broker the deal to keep it safe for all.

Wellll ... the owner decided he wants to keep his sale as a local sale. He seems a bit skiddish about the whole shipping idea. So I guess this idea is back onto the rear shelf for now.

Woody,

I didn't think you were mean ... that was sort of like a friendly "bitch" slap, no?

If I wanted that guitar I wouldn't have written the post ... I would have just tried to grab it myself!

Too many guitars ... um ... well ... I DO play all of mine. Does that make any difference?

Too many? Hmmm ... maybe ... but I got me some NICE ones, honey ... btw, does that mean I should NOT try to persuade you to sell me one of your beauties in the future?

Eeeny, Meeny, Miney ... Moe! Maybe someone on here will grab her. Besides, I'm BROKE! There! I said (wrote) it!

Some of us have wives to remind us that we have too many guitars. Maybe Woody just decided to act like your wife, Willa.

FBS - Yes indeedy!
;)

As for pretending to be your wife - let's just set THAT idea aside, like forever maybe?

I knew that you were confident and strong enough to take a little rassing, I just didn't think it would take two days to get back at me and say "Oh yah?" or the online equivalent.

Too much time went by allowing that skwoowey wabbitt to weazle in...

As for me...

I can't even afford to pay attention.

Seller says he will only sell local. I don't know of any way to clear that obstacle. I don't want it bad enough to drive or fly to Saskatchuwan.

I think I'll just be patient and wait until another great deal shows up on one. (like the one BEAL got (: )

My wife is probably gonna freak out when she figures out I just picked up that CA. I'm going to off-load the Yamaha classical before the newbee arrives.
