But I have a question about this one. Look at the body binding. It looks black color. Is that right? I thought the originals had brown binding. Oh well, beautiful instrument either way.

Location: Phoenix AZ | I KNOW the binding on this guitar is black. My question was what color is the binding on the original 1687? This has nothing to do with this specific auction, I'm just curious about the reissue vs. the original. I'm surprised nobody knows the answer.

My '93 Adamas I 12 string has the black binding. I think Ovation went to the black somewhere in the late 1980's when it was politically correct to do so .... |

Of course, that would rule out a fun thread like this and the input of others, some of which is even relevant.... like most threads on this forum. :D |
