It would be a blast! You may be the closest member to Jeff Burns and myself, geographically. www.katerinas.com 1620 Irving Park Chicago 7pm

The reason I ask is I have bought a 2000 Collector from a guy in Elmhurst and was wonderingg if anyone would be willing to pick it up and despatch to me. I'm still trying to get the seller to do it so let's see....

I can provide him with a written receipt etc. and then have my local guitar-shop buddy help expedite the shipping for (I hope) far less than 400. Let me know what to do. Your seller can call me on my cell 773 467 0756. My academic gig is on the north shore at Loyola University Chicago, so he can also meet me there if it's convenient. Let me know if this might help you out.

I've asked him to double check the USPS quote, the thing is I have had many an Ovation sent to me from the US with USPS and it was always < $150. I've just checked with the USPS site and it comes out as < $100. So He is checking again. I've had this sort of thing before, i.e. USPS quoting silly amounts, I had to send them previous quotes and then they reluctantly reduced it. So I'll keep you posted. Thanks!!!

There is little point getting it to you to find that they are going to charge the same. It makes no sense, I've had at least 5 Ovations shipped to me from the US via USPS in OHSC and boxes etc for less than $150, one time it was even $65!

With the current economic turbulence, you may be a victim of a price surge.. dunno. Anyway, the weight... lbs. oz.?
