This is a W597 model equipped with an Optima pre-amp and with non usual dark epaulets. According the owner, these epaulets are made with carbon. The label only says W597 and nothing else but there's a sticker on the case where it's written "Adamas Dark Blue Prototype". What's your opinion??? Did you ever seen this model before? I'm waiting for more detailed pictures... J :)

I believe this is one of those that would look good without the epaulets, and without the white trim (I know, I said that already) Single side holes (Kaki King style with black), no eppis, and all black trim, saddle and nut.

Tru- Balance-Pickup was stock these days. Btw: The first CVT's and SMT's had the "outies". Innies came in, let's say, 2001-2003. Best regards, Kurt

It is listed in the order as a W597-X. The -X generally means the guitar was customized in some way and is non-standard in some way. It was built for an artist (I can't tell who) in the USA" I'm not sure that this one could be called a prototype in a sense but it's a special guitar by anyway. ;) I take this opportunity to thank the guys from New Hartford for their kindness and for the attention that they give us. That's also why I love O's... J ;)

Kurt, I'm more interested by the story of the guitar than the guitar herself... The asking price is too expensive to my eyes (+/- 2OOO€) and I'm still interested with old/vintage O's. I've never been a fan of the SMT & CVT series but it's an interesting guitar!!! ;) J :)
