I've seen pics of it before but the 2nd guy who sent them to me said "Templeman says it's TOP SECRET" so I didn't say anything... :D :D :D

Cedar top mid or shallow bowl(maybe). Does everyone understand how little bracing the thing needs if they use a tailstop instead of the normal bridge. I bet this sounds huge!!

Nice soundport shape.

I'm thinking Custom Longneck Slothead LX with that shape soundhole.

Someone posted pics of that in a thread a month or so ago, and we all wondered what it would take to get the mother ship to put it into production.

I had a long talk with Darren about that guitar. It's just a great concept. I'm not a huge fan of the tone of gypsy jazz guitars (but then, I don't play that style) but with the contour bowl and Ovation pickup and preamp you have a whole new thing. This should be a production model, but it probably won't be.

Very nice look, but that's just marketing if it doesn't sound good. Looks like it has potential because it maintains a big soundboard. Anybody heard it?

Interesting guitar. I'll tell you, though, if you're a gypsy jazz guitarist and you go around calling yourself "Django," you'd BETTER be DAMNED good!!!!!

Looks like a nice guitar!

My wife and I saw Django Porter play a couple of months ago with Slim Ritchie. We walked over to the show as it was at a little venue a few blocks from our house. It was part of a "Django Reinhardt" gypsy jazz weekend, they show a film about gypsy players and have two bands play for Friday and Saturday.

Django Porter is a fabulous guitar player, this band of Slim Ritchie's featured two guitars, violin and upright bass. All great players.

I don't own a single gypsy jazz CD/song download or anything, but experiencing it live is quite a thrill.

Django Porter didn't have this Ovation at the show here in Fort Worth, he didn't have it with him when we ran into him at the campgrounds at the Kerrville Folk Festival, I got him to play a pretty interesting lead to "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" (one of my favorite sing alongs to break out in the campground song circles).

Too bad hd didn't have the Ovation or I could have played it.

One other thing about him, my wife just goes loopy over this guy - he's young, handsome and plays some killer guitar...

At Kerrville, I was talking with friend and musician David Dunn, the co-owner of BB Rovers where these "Jollyville City Limits" shows are put-on,

about our band being featured at one of the upcoming JCL shows.... :D
