Most of the OFC'ers know that I am an intense advocate of the the 30th Anniv CL (have three, had five)...Al just got one in...this is NEW, with warranty.

I have to 2nd Tony's enthusiam for this guitar.

Plays great, sounds great, and looks great.

What more could anyone ask for.

If I wasn't expecting twins, I would be very tempted to grab this one.

Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep, non cutaway like the ancients that came before us in 1974...way before I saw the light and switch from a Martini.

OP-Pro w/XLR, double rod, etc...IMHO, the finest balanced guitar Ovation has made (balanced as it crosses over a number of playing styles.) Better than a reissue.

Yep, I am a little biased ;) ;)

Ovation site says deep bowl. Wow, nice configuration. Anyone got Malox...I think I feel a GAS attack coming on.

For the classic Custom Legend, I would be surprised if this isn't the last of the breed.

To me, better than any CL that came before. My understanding is that this sat in a music store way up in the dark corner. It has been checked out and is in new condition. Quality of material and craftmanship are of the highest level. True new old stock.

Should the Gas get bad enough, what might be the cost of relief? How would one proceed to that end?

Al is one of the co-sponsors of this board and my personal dealer. In fact, when this first was offered, I stated that I would only buy one if I could buy from AL (1/02/04) - I bought two new and one demo 30th Anniv from him (as well as about $8,000 of others in trade or sales)...I feel that strongly that Al has been a friend and a great dealer.

He's strange but a teddy bear (just ask Temp, Bill, Moody, Cliff, and others). Email him at alpep@aol.com, call him at 856-933-0374 (Lost Art Vintage).

Don't screw around as I have emailed him an offer of a trade.

Tony's a little biased regarding this guitar. It's not as perfect as he claims. Instead of perfect, I'd say that it's just outstanding......

Anybody know how many of these 30CM's were built (too lazy to hit the search button). These are beautiful and amazing sounding guitars. BUY IT!

Tony, thanks. Advise taken.
I see you are from San Diego. My son, is playing bass in a Jazz Trio, on a Holland America cruise ship right now that ports in San Diego every Saturday.

Tupp, from my digging around last night, I found that 300 of these were made, with 180 going international.

Have come to grips with the fact that, at this time, I can not afford this beautiful instrument. That HURT! :)

Bad timing sure screws up alot of dreams. Oh well, it would have really upset my extensive "O" collection. (see below)

Tony, I hope you were able to broker a deal for yourself. Or if not, then somebody here.

(Sure would've been a perfect mate to my CB)

Cryin' in my beer...Dave
