The Ovation Roadshow came through town and the local store (where I bought my first O acoustic) had special pricing for the event. I was 95% there, then they said anyone who buys an Ovation tonight gets a free iDea preamp... That's when my mind was made up, I had to have it! Unfortunately it means giving up that first EliteLX I bought there (see For Sale Section), but this thing is FAN-F'n-TASTIC! The lows don't quite rumble like my 2080 or deep bowl Al DiMeola, but the balance is really surprising. I was really liking the sound, but then I tuned to open G, and absolutely fell in love with it. I played Zeppelin's "That's The Way" and it sounded great! I can't wait until it's opened up like the 1778LX it's replacing. As for the looks, well what can I say but... BRAVO OVATION! ![]()

'Cept for the ebony fretboard and the abalone markers and pearl tuners and the OP-Pro Studio and and the abalone binding and more bling and no pick-tracks and... Does that have a Contour Bowl? BTW-- I was trying to decide if I was gonna put gold tuners in my 2778LX... Yeah, I think so!

I just got back from the doc because of some neck issues, and he told me no playing for a couple days. Bummer (To top things off, I'm sitting on the side of the freeway right now waitng for roadside assistance. Tire blew. I just got all new ones too, mustve hit something)
