But if you are listing an item on EvilBay, Do not put a link to it here! You will end-up with 50 Watchers, just for entertainment. I really try not to click the 'watch this item' button on OFCers.

I'm concentrating on fabrication activities, as a prolonged distraction from the crummy economy. Maybe, by the time I get a coupla critters operational, there may be more discretionary funds available to prospective buyers. How's the used instrument market holding, comparitively, for other brands, e.g., Collings, Martin, Taylor?

I really try to set the auction up so that the last 3 hours are accessible and the product is communicated properly. On the Koa Viper I ended up with 56 Bids - mostly done in 50 cent increments. I don't like to give the reserve away but I do try to set it well below a Reasonable BiN. I just have to remember that I don't NEED to sell, I just want to sell because I WANT to buy! Any savvy shopper will follow the leads to this place and with a little research could easily discover what my "best deal" price is and take advantage of it. I do feel bad for those that have to sell to make a living, it is a hard market.

That's a nice couple of guitars and I'm sure people will want them enough to eventually bid on them. At the same time, some people will be letting things go to PAY their taxes. Speaking of myself though, patience has been a problem.

But I forgot to set any kind of reserve. I certainly didn't want to take a bath on it. It was only at $183 so I logged on in my wifes account & bid it up to $375 with a few days to go. Then I logged on the final day of the sale with about 4 1/2 hours left and it hadn't moved. I gambled, bid it up to $405 (Hey I figured I bought it once & could buy it again if I had to) under her name. Then I looked after closing & it sold for $430. Guy wanted to drive up the next morning from Ohio & pick it up. Didn't take a loss but after sitting on it for a month it wasn't worth tying the money up that long. Just had to tell her to disregaurd all those emails from ebay as she didn't win. ;) Wally

Broke my left collar bone, can't even play a guitar now. The following Sunday I was admitted to the hospital at my Dad's with the beginning stages of pneumonia. Spent two nights there. Looking at being out of work for 3-6 more weeks. Can't dive a semi with one arm not able to play. :( Saw MWoody's Viper, plus there was a nice Elite on the bay. Would really like both, as whatever I get has to be substantially different from those I already have.

I still have my job, family, and most of my health. Even more so, I know that all things happen for a reason, and God is still in control, Maybe in another week or so I can begn to play my O's again. ;)
