Apart from a nice winged bridge this guitar shows a strange headstock to it, isn'it ?

Looks like it's had a bunch of refinishing. I would think the headstock was done also for some reason.

Interesting that the truss rod cover has no screws holding it down.

It makes me go... Hmmmm????

It has no screwholes either for the TRC. Just stuck on for decorative purposes?

Methinks it's not an original truss rod cover..

Yeah... You need to crazy-glue screw-heads into them if you're gonna fake it.

I'm guessing whoever did the headstock repair veneered over the neck-rod pocket

The history & description sounds feasible. Quite a vintage instrument, and the seller, apparently, restores instruments. I would speculate the peghead has been refinished, and someone got another decal.
I can attest, those '60's necks are superb.

I don't even think it veneer . . . I think it's "wood-grain" vinyl . . .

The hole in the neck where that "expensive if you break it" rod goes through.

The picture caption says the TRC is stuck on, and the rod is accessible. I'd guess the headstock refinishing and lack of TRC screws have something to do with the repaired neck crack.

A few repairs, but they look well done. Still, not a bad BIN (350) for a nice looking classic... the K&K pickup is worth half of that.

I have to agree, it looks a lot closer to .250 at 12.

Kim I believe told me to look out for the "heel" where it meets the body for damage. He said that is a definite problem. This one seems to be kind of a mess there?

All I saw was little red flags popping up with 'neck reset!' on them. The action at 12 looks like you'd need 4 fingers and your leg to do make a note. And if he's measuring 1/8 there, he needs a new measurer.
