I decided to replace the tuner buttons with new ones of real pearl in order to complete the fancy outfit. But the most impressive is the golden shine of the sunburst spruce top. I´ve read they used AAAA Spruce at that time for these guitars.Good choice.

They really are beautiful sounding, and looking pieces, aren't they? I am waiting for my nephew(?) to come over so I can hear the round hole and the elite side by side! I also have an Amazing Red Flame that I would like to hear him try! CONGRATULATIONS Detlef!!! It is Gorgeous!!!

Yours looks just like the one the Mother Ship (oh that feels nice to say, "Mother Ship" again, instead of "Mini-Mother" repaired for my friend this summer! My friend's sounds incredible! I know you are going to enjoy it! Congratulations!

Surely I put am armrest on it ; I had a small John Pearse ebony armrest reserved for this guitar, it´s nearly unvisible. Some time ago I had a "book" Elite, but this N 768 sounds much better, brighter with more basses, more sustain and a kind of natural mid-boost, especially when played on the 5th to 12th fret position, where other guitars are getting thinner.Maybe it´s because of the higher grade spruce top. But most striking is the precision of the neck, the guitar can be played with extremely low action without buzz. I must say that I sold my 2080 for it and I did not regret the change.

Similar the Book Elite.... another limited run (30th anniversary) 1996 with those little add-ons that make it special and desireable, but you may say just another 1768....

The guitar is all in all a little better than my book elite was. 3%. I wish I had a 12string of this tonal quality. I had a 1538 which was very close..one of the guitars I should have kept. I know I`m complaining on a very high level, sorry.

There is an immediately heard difference when you switch from another guitar to the Nakao! Absolutely Incredible!! Then add the extra care in making, and bling, and they really are Pieces of Art, in addition to having a sound unlike anything else you have ever heard. Incredible Guitars!!
