There are a few small dents in the finish on the front, and two scratches and a belt-buckle dent or two on the back. The previous owner was a showman, or clumsy. I am trying to tell you all of the bad stuff first. --Oh yeah, it does have some light pick tracks if you look hard enough-- This has No Fret Wear or Fingernail Dents in the Rosewood fingerboard. This sounds great. This looks impressive. Includes case, key and a 15' splitter cable. I just don't really play "electric"... I play acoustic. HERE is a photobucket album with random photos of the VXT. Payment by PayPal. PM me and we can figure out the shipping costs. I would prefer to just sell this within the Continental USA. But I will ship it anywhere if you are willing to pay the costs. But that is a Beautiful Guitar. Hurry! Before I change my mind. Edited by Old Man Arthur 2014-05-04 7:29 PM

I'll come pick it up the next time I'm up there or I'll get one of my brothers to come over and get it. A little sooner and it could have been my birthday guitar, but this will have to be for Father's day.

Great guitar that's pleasantly different from your typical Tele, Strat or Les Paul. Good luck with the sale OMA.

Most of the Old Farts know that SWMBO and I have had sort of a love-hate relationship with guitars since I joined the OFC. Most of the love was mine and most of the hate was hers. So last night I saw this ad and showed her the picture of the VXT in the flower pot. To my surprise, she said she thought it was ugly. I turned the laptop back around to make sure we were looking at the same picture, because I thought it was beautiful. I started to argue with her, but knew it was a waste of time, so I scrolled down to the last picture, turned it back to her and said, "You think the guitar is ugly, look at this . . ." Then I bought it. Sorry, OMA. I know that I'm not much to look at either.

It reminds me of the Hamer DuoTone that I had, but never used, only better. I'll try to use this one, so I don't feel guilty and sell it, like I did with the DuoTone.

A better guitar than a DuoTone or Taylor T5, but either the customers or Ovation gave up on them fast. Guitar Center here only sold two of them and the second was at a huge discount. I hope I can show this one some respect.

Had there been someone excited about that product, putting it in people's hands, telling them all the cool features and benefits (FaBs), they could have sold at least 3. Lack of training and poor wages give you workers who just plain don't care. This results in high turnover which makes it impossible for the manufacturers to teach the FaBs, which gets the associates talking about it, which in turn sells the product. As I remember Mark, you told me they had no idea what it was or how it worked. At least they knew it came with a case. Their stupidity was my gain. Thanks again for that heads-up.

Joined: March 2005 Posts: 12755 Location: Boise, Idaho | That was back in the day when they had a floor manager who lasted a few months. They actually had a couple I knew fairly well and they knew me as "the Ovation guy". I think the last one I bought from them was my 12 string on my friend's last day. He gave me a stupid cheap deal on that. I just walked in and saw the VXT display and started asking questions. None of the kids seemed to even know how to plug it into an amp, much less two amps. They thought something was wrong with the cord, so I couldn't try it out. The next time I was in the display and VXT were gone. Later, the manager said they sold it, but had a second one hanging in a corner. That was the one Damon bought. I don't remember if they knew it came with the case or if I had to ask.

A couple of little dings, as Arthur said, but that way I won't have to worry about putting the first one in. Thanks, OMA. I'll try to give it some play time.
